Ensemble (DK)
SCENATET is recognised as being one of the most innovative and experimental ensembles for music and art in Denmark. The ensemble operates in a cross-border artistic field between music drama via happenings to areas with as yet undefined genres. Furthermore, there is the close cooperation with the younger generation of Danish composers as well as a strong involvement in the international avant-garde repertoire.

The coming season features, among other things, SCENATET’s conceptual concert project called Living Room at the Bergen International Festival: Recognised Bergen artists open their doors to the two Danish artists Anna Berit Asp Christensen and Bent Sørensen, where together they create concert installations with the private home as their scenography and concert hall at one and the same time.

Later on in the year, SCENATET is going to Stockholm with its Backyard Picture as well as giving a premiere of a new major work written specially for them by Niels Rønsholdt.
In addition, the ensemble is looking forward to making recordings of Dacapo, with the composer Jeppe Just Christensen, and for British Touch Records, with the sound artist Jacob Kirkegaard.

In the 2012–2014 period, SCENATET represents Denmark in the Danish Composers Association’s new major EU project – Aud

Composer-in-residency during 2011–2013: Bent Sørensen.
Chief curator and responsible figure is Anna Berit Asp Christensen in cooperation with Niels Rønsholdt.

SCENATET is supported by, among others, Statens Kunstråd, Statens Kunstfond, and Århus Kommune
