Artistic diversity being an important aspect of his life, Petteri Pitko divides his time between giving solo and chamber concerts and working with different baroque and modern orchestras. Pitko studied in Helsinki, Paris and Berlin.

He has performed in most European countries, as well as in China and Korea. He has performed at major music festivals, such as Musica Strasbourg, Ultraschall Festival Berlin, and Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival. His repertoire ranges from the 16th century up to today. Pitko is particularly interested in creating new music for the harpsichord, and he has premiered several works written for this instrument.
