Retro Cassetta
Badreddine Haoutar has as many facets as talents. The circus man that he is, known in the urban arts world as Snoopy and through the company Colokolo, always had another passion : Music. And especially the cassettes of the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s.
For his Retro Cassetta project, the artist has collected over the years Moroccan, Algerian and Libyan cassettes containing gems of North African music, from chaâbi to raï through rap, rock or gnaoua music.
Snoopy, a collector turned DJ, exhumes these tapes before they sink into oblivion, digitizes them and mixes them to give new life to this Maghrebian audio heritage.
